POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Financial Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting Project Managers and project teams with financial and administrative tasks related to their projects, ensuring they are profitable and successful. Key responsibilities include managing project invoicing, overseeing payment processes, comparing budgets to job costs, tracking compliance, and preparing change orders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the project management team to efficiently initiate project buyouts
- Monitor compliance of all subcontractors and material suppliers
- Digitally scan and input invoices from subcontractors into the financial system
- Review daily material tickets from the field for coding accuracy
- Examine accounts payable unapproved invoices on a daily basis
- Assess subcontractor payments weekly in accordance with company guidelines
- Prepare change orders for owners and subcontractors
- Facilitate monthly project billings, ensuring communication with project managers regarding contract documents and change orders
- Work with the project management team to maintain current accounts receivable on projects
- Conduct monthly project analyses to prepare for financial closing
- Generate and distribute job cost analysis reports
- Process and submit weekly certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects
- Collect and manage payroll from subcontractors on prevailing wage projects
- Assist the project management team with any necessary tasks to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of accounting or related experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
