As a Senior Project Architect at GMB, your responsibilities will include:
  • Creating project documentation for a variety of projects with differing scales and types.
  • Assisting in the development of programmatic documentation and studies.
  • Effectively communicating design concepts both internally and externally.
  • Preparing construction drawings and specifications aligned with client objectives.
  • Supporting construction administration and project closeout documentation.
  • Applying expertise in design, construction methodologies, architectural systems, codes, and material applications.
  • Ensuring collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Actively participating in an internal Project Architecture & Design team to develop strategies and best practices that guarantee high-quality work, share knowledge, and foster relationships.
  • Enjoying the flexibility of primarily remote work while having the option to engage in fieldwork or utilize our collaborative spaces as needed.

What qualifications are essential for success in this role?

  • A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in an architectural firm.
  • Attention to detail in drawings and design communication.
  • Proficiency in executing architectural details.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Capability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficiency in Revit software.

What could distinguish you from other candidates?

  • Architectural registration, either completed or in progress.
  • A strong passion for the Education Market, particularly experience with K-12 and Higher Education projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of design, construction methodologies, architectural systems, and material applications.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or other 3D modeling and rendering software.
  • Familiarity with specification writing.
