Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Madison, WI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and inspections
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair issues
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems and components
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
