Position Overview:
Soliant is looking for a committed and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) / Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide essential occupational therapy services within an educational environment. This role is crucial in aiding students' academic and developmental achievements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs in daily living and motor skills.
- Design and execute personalized therapy plans and interventions tailored to individual student requirements.
- Deliver direct therapy services while tracking and documenting student progress effectively.
- Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other school personnel to ensure therapy objectives are integrated into the learning environment.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of therapy services and student advancements.
- Engage in team discussions and contribute to the development and assessment of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (for OT) or completion of a COTA program (for COTA).
- Possession of a valid state license in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
