Your Responsibilities
We are seeking a Project Engineer/Manager to oversee and coordinate activities related to various projects within the biotechnology manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in engineering, validation processes, quality assurance, and project management, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience in the Pharmaceuticals or Biotech manufacturing industry is preferred.
The Project Engineer/Manager will:
- Direct projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company protocols.
- Create project plans, timelines, and budgets, monitoring progress against established milestones.
- Provide clear guidance to project teams through effective written and verbal communication to ensure timely and efficient execution of tasks.
- Develop solutions, outline budgetary requirements, secure funding approvals, forecast expenditures, and manage financial documentation.
- Identify and proactively address project risks, formulating mitigation strategies and contingency plans as necessary.
- Maintain project standards by ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor project performance and evaluate the achievement of key objectives.
- Document and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
- Offer technical expertise and support to cross-functional teams.
- Manage high-value, complex projects with urgent timelines effectively.
- Encourage a collaborative and positive team atmosphere.
At PSC Biotech, many of our projects and clients are located in various regions. Therefore, we value candidates who are willing and able to travel as necessary for project assignments and client interactions. The ability to adapt to different locations, cultures, and work environments is crucial for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues nationwide.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a science, technology, or engineering discipline is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning and qualifying biopharmaceutical facilities and equipment or in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience in project management or engineering is preferred.
- PMP certification or a Project Management Certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Access.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong customer service orientation.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a Biotechnology manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
