ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As we prepare to launch a new chemical manufacturing facility in Bay City, TX, we are looking for a proactive IT professional to oversee the implementation of IT services for local users and manage the IT requirements of a newly acquired administrative facility. The successful candidate will collaborate with Plant Process Engineers to explore innovative digital solutions and ensure compliance with global IT standards.

  • Oversee the delivery of IT services for the new Bay City facility.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with global, regional, and local strategies, maintaining budget and timelines.
  • Manage local business demands for IT solutions and lead implementation projects across the organization.
  • Ensure IT solutions comply with security standards and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with local teams to establish a robust business continuity strategy.
  • Handle daily IT service support activities, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Coordinate with global and regional IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners and IT service providers.
  • Identify IT needs to support business objectives and enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain a visible IT presence at the Bay City facility.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a computer-related field with over 3 years of experience in IT project implementation.
  • Proficient in Local Area and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) and wireless networks (WLAN).
  • Familiarity with MS Azure cloud services and related applications.
  • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, including AAD, DNS, DHCP, and network security.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working with diverse teams.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Willingness to work on-site regularly during the initial training and stabilization phase.
  • Some domestic travel may be required post-stabilization.
  • Proactive in identifying and leading projects that leverage new technologies for improved efficiency.
  • Support the expansion of successful digital initiatives across global facilities.
  • Monitor external suppliers in relevant areas.
  • Share knowledge and provide training across different locations.
