Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing technical service to vehicles and equipment, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment, including diagnosing and repairing complex issues.
  • Read job orders, observe, and listen to vehicles in operation to resolve malfunctions and plan work procedures.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined and adjusted as needed.
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly and complete all work according to applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure guest vehicles are returned in the same condition as they were prior to being serviced.
  • Adhere to manufacturer's policies and procedures when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in diesel mechanics, with a strong understanding of engine repair and maintenance.
  • Experience with Allison Transmission, computer diagnostic programs, and Freightliner/Western Star, Volvo/Mack, Kenworth/Peterbilt International, or Mitsubishi equipment is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of CAT, Detroit, Cummins, or International engines is a definite asset.
