Job Title: Kennel Technician

Job Summary:

The Kennel Technician plays a vital role in the care and well-being of our purpose-bred dogs. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kennel, providing daily care for the dogs, including feeding, exercising, and administering medication. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical and behavior records, as well as coordinating medical appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily kennel care, including scooping, cleaning, and laundry
  • Provide daily dog and cat care, including feeding, watering, grooming, and exercising
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate medical records
  • Coordinate medical appointments and maintain accurate behavior records
  • Ensure the kennel facility is clean and well-maintained
  • Stock supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must pass a criminal background and DMV check
  • Ability to lift dogs up to 65 pounds and move quickly and easily
  • Comfortable working with animals and administering medication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
