Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Canine Center Technician to join our team at Ladgov Corporation. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and attention to our canine residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health care services for ATF canines, including exercising, socializing, grooming, bathing, and administering prescribed medications.
  • Clean and disinfect kennel areas and/or canine housing and equipment.
  • Assist the Animal Health and Training Coordinator and Veterinarian in positioning and restraining canines for examinations, treatments, and emergency procedures.
  • Observe and report the appearance and activity of canines for signs of illness, wounds, disease, discontent, and abnormal behavior.
  • Provide basic and emergency first aid when needed, including CPR if warranted.
  • Maintain general interior and exterior housekeeping procedures and ensure a high standard is maintained to minimize the danger of communicable diseases and parasitic infections.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience working with trained and untrained canines.
  • Experience relative to the health, safety, and general care of canines.
  • Knowledge of manual labor tasks relative to the maintenance of a kennel facility.
  • Experience specific to canine health care in order to safely care for and recognize physical and behavioral factors necessary to maintain the well-being of ATF canines.
  • Ability to perform administrative functions of a large kennel facility and training center.
  • Experience with maintaining sanitary conditions of kennels, transport cages, and vehicles, as well as exercise and training facilities both indoors and out.
  • Ability to operate a computer with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook in order to maintain documents and communications.
