Accounting Clerk Job Description

Cambridge Systematics is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. Your primary responsibilities will include processing subcontractor invoices, assisting with project set up, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and regulatory filings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices weekly in compliance with contract/subcontract terms
  • Assist with project set up, including entering budgets and setting up rate tables
  • Update contract modifications within the accounting system as requested
  • Perform ad hoc support as needed
Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of applicable experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
