Job Summary

A skilled Facilities Manager is required to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our restaurant facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance, with experience in HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems. They will be responsible for ensuring the functionality of equipment, collaborating with management staff to set safety protocols, and performing routine maintenance and repairs. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees, guests, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspecting and maintaining restaurant refrigeration and cooking equipment, as well as air conditioning and miscellaneous areas on the premises.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of all pertinent equipment.
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior equipment.
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
  • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace.
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs.
  • Responding to emergency on-call maintenance requests.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED, with 5-10 years of on-the-job training from previous roles in the industry.
  • Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
  • Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
  • The ability to lift heavy equipment and be comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
