Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders for medications using the pharmacy information system
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliant and efficient operations
  • Adjust dosages based on established protocols and ensure that dosages are appropriate for the patient's condition
  • Educate patients on the proper use and expected effects of medications
  • Manage narcotics and inventory control and compliance
  • Assist the pharmacy director in maintaining the pharmacy's accreditation and implementing operational changes
Qualifications
  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Active Maine pharmacist license in good standing
  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly to communicate with customers and healthcare professionals
  • Computer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
