Role Summary:
We are looking for experienced software engineers to provide technical support services focused on the development of system and application integrations for our advanced Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) platform. This includes the Manufacturing Orchestration Framework (MOF) and is built on Dassault Systems' DELMIA Apriso 2023 product, utilizing industry-standard Message-Oriented Middleware (MOM) and modern cloud-native technologies.
The Manufacturing Orchestration Framework (MOF) serves as both a collaborative team construct and a logical representation within our MES Center of Excellence (COE). It outlines how various portfolios interact with the MES, which encompasses message exchanges and transaction processes. Our team is primarily composed of software engineers dedicated to the complete DevSecOps and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for integrations with other systems.
As a Middleware Developer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining middleware solutions and APIs that ensure effective communication and integration across various systems and applications.
- Utilizing message queues and data transformation processes to enhance system performance and scalability.
- Facilitating seamless data flow across applications in both classified and unclassified network environments.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with development experience (typically a BS degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of experience; or an MS degree with 4-6 years). A solid understanding of operational processes and systems is essential. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across different disciplines are critical for success in this role. This position offers flexibility in work hours, including some evening and weekend coverage, and is fully remote.
Key Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in middleware development across various architectures such as EIP, SOA, EAI, REST, WCF, EDI, XML, and Flat files.
- Proficiency in modeling business logic using contemporary middleware integration platforms.
- Experience with Java, SpringBoot, Camel, and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) processes and platforms.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), and software engineering frameworks like Apache Camel, MuleSoft, or TIBCO.
- Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning and Product Lifecycle Management platforms (e.g., SAP S4, Windchill).
- Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration tools (GitLab, Helm) for scalable deployments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and DSL (XML, Java).
- Experience with markup technologies including XML, XPATH, XQUERY, and XSLT.
Note: US Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
