Patient Care Specialist

The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting the work of the Registered Nurse to provide safe, quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Registered Nurse in providing patient care, including implementing progressive mobility guidelines, ambulating, turning, and repositioning patients.
- Use patient handling equipment to lift, transfer, reposition, and transport patients as needed.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, toileting, providing water, and oral care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, weights, and inputs/outputs, and report any changes to the Registered Nurse.
- Perform EKGs as required and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in a hospital, clinic, or SNF/Home Health setting as a nurse assistant, care partner, medical assistant, or student nurse.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- A solid understanding of human anatomy, basic medical terminology, and rehabilitation principles is desired.
- Current California State Nurse Assistant certification.
