Medical Case Manager II

CorVel Corporation is seeking a skilled and compassionate registered nurse to fill a Medical Case Manager position in Los Angeles. As a Medical Case Manager, you will play a vital role in facilitating the recovery of injured workers and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical case management to individuals through in-person and telephonic communications with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Evaluate patient treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement care plans, including negotiation of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
- Collaborate with patients, families, medical providers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective care coordination.
- Travel locally to meet with patients and healthcare providers, with occasional overnight travel.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the state of operation.
- Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other case management certifications preferred.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to assigned locations.
