Project Scheduler

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team at Stellar Energy Americas Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and implementing scheduling management systems to support identified projects and their plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up tasks and subtasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled.
- Log project time-lines and maintain a database of tasks and status.
- Log all new information into the database and provide scheduled reports for contract coordination and reporting purposes.
- Interact with customers and project staff to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
- Design and develop project schedules.
- Interact with project teams and task managers to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules and identification of variances from original plans.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
- Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of changes to the schedule and recommend work-arounds.
- Develop and update weekly short interval schedules working with superintendents and field engineers.
- Support project management teams to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures, and systems.
- Assist project teams to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
- Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
- Conduct manhour tracking for labor cost control on all phases of the project.
- Provide schedule training to project management teams to ensure understanding of the schedule report provided.
- Analyze production rates from historical data to use in future project schedules.
- Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Requirements:
- Associates' degree in management or related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project and/or construction scheduling.
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Experience creating and managing resource-loaded schedules.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or management-related discipline.
- Experience in the power, oil & gas, data center, and/or district energy industries.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing/assembly environment. This role routinely uses standard construction-type equipment such as ladders and hoists as well as office equipment such as machines. Some of the work will require exposure to loud noises or fumes in the facility.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
