About the Role

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team. As a Child Life Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, developmental, emotional, and therapeutic needs of pediatric patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop psychosocial interventions to support the needs of pediatric patients and their families.
  • Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients and families.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Family Studies, Education, or Psychology required.
  • One year of supervised experience in an established Child Life Program required.
  • Completion of a 600-hour Child Life internship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Child Life Certification preferred.
