Overview & Responsibilities:

General Summary:
Responsible for assisting residents with their daily living activities. Duties are performed under the indirect supervision of nursing staff or supervisors, following established procedures and guidelines.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

- Ensure residents maintain cleanliness and comfort through daily living assistance, including mobility support, bathing, personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and changing bed linens.


- Physically assist residents in attending appointments, activities, and meals, which may involve pushing wheelchairs and following walkers closely while managing schedules.

- Maintain accurate records of communications for co-workers, shift summaries, and care notes.

Qualifications:

Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop, or sit for extended periods

- Capability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects/people weighing over 50lbs

- Ability to maintain focused attention to safety, detail, and accuracy for sustained periods

Requirements:
- Must receive the annual Flu vaccine, with exceptions for religious or medical reasons.

Specific Skills:
- Dependable with attendance and punctuality

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to make independent decisions without supervision

- Capable of tactful interactions with residents, families, team members, and the public

- Ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations
