Logistics Operations Associate

Overview:

The Logistics Operations Associate plays a crucial role in managing order fulfillment and addressing inventory discrepancies.

Key responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments as designated.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts
  • Processing and distributing orders and/or back orders to authorized staff
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the stockroom and distribution zones
  • Loading delivery trucks and preparing UPS shipments
  • Assisting with basic machinery assembly when required
  • Coordinating routing and implementing appropriate distribution protocols
  • Participating in and supporting special projects
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned
  • Operating forklifts as necessary
  • Meeting company quality standards

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; three years of relevant logistics experience and/or training; or a suitable combination.

Language Proficiency: Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Proficient in verbal communication with colleagues.

Analytical Skills: Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Capable of addressing issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized scenarios.

Certifications:

Forklift Certification required.

Additional Information:

Must be proficient in operating forklifts and overhead cranes. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Demonstrated computer skills, particularly in Windows. Familiarity with ERP systems and basic understanding of freight rates and discount structures is highly advantageous.
