Job Summary

CBRE is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team. As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations. This includes plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect building systems to ensure equipment operation is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client
  • Coordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors
  • Perform assigned repairs and emergency and preventive maintenance
  • Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repair
  • Maintain an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems most efficiently
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training
  • Universal CFC certification is preferred
  • Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair
Working Conditions

The Building Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position requires the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more and to work at heights. The Building Engineer must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
