Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Counsel to join our Corporate Counseling & Transactions Unit (CC&T) at our Bloomington, IL location. This hybrid role will require you to spend most of your time in the office, with some flexibility to work remotely as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on legal issues related to technology transactions, including vendor contracts and data security agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate various technology agreements, such as SaaS, PaaS, and outsourcing contracts.
  • Assist in counseling business areas on allocating risks associated with vendor relationships.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
  • An active license to practice law in at least one state and membership in good standing of the bar.
  • The ability to obtain a limited license in IL if not already licensed.
  • 3-6 years of transactional experience, preferably in technology.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles and practices related to technology.
