Position Overview:
The Senior Facilities Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency by focusing on minimizing equipment downtime. This position requires strong leadership capabilities to develop training initiatives and conduct root cause analyses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance in Facilities management, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems.
  • Support the production of low, medium, and high voltage electrical cables with an emphasis on managing facilities equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, particularly concerning hazardous waste management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address daily operational challenges.
  • Initiate and implement projects aimed at improving equipment reliability.
  • Guarantee that all products adhere to the standards set by the Quality Management System.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ISO14001 Environmental Management System guidelines.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager or other management personnel.

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:
  • A solid background in Electrical, PLC, and Mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a Maintenance and Facilities Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and project management.
  • Proficient in database management and various software applications, including spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the electrical cable manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledge of chiller maintenance and optimization.
  • Familiarity with pollution control systems (e.g., Baghouse, Scrubber).
  • Experience with compressor maintenance and optimization.
  • Understanding of high purity piping and gas delivery systems.
  • Knowledge of fire detection systems and power distribution systems, including UPS.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in A3 problem-solving techniques.
  • Leadership experience, even in informal capacities.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently.
