Job Overview

Marquiscsi is seeking a highly skilled Fire Stopper Foreman to oversee the installation, inspection, and documentation of penetration fire-stopping systems on a new construction project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire-stopping methods, materials, and building codes, as well as excellent leadership and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of fire stoppers in the installation of fire-stopping systems.
  • Ensure all fire-stopping installations comply with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Inspect and assess work areas to determine the appropriate fire-stopping measures needed.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Train and mentor team members on proper fire-stopping techniques and safety practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted.
  • Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in fire-stopping installations.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
  • Stay updated on the latest fire-stopping technologies, methods, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Stopper or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of fire-stopping methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training or certification in fire-stopping systems is preferred.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Firestop UL applications.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
