Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Produce Team Receiver to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our receiving team, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive company image by providing exceptional customer service and supporting our team leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all product deliveries in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring full attention to detail and adherence to receiving procedures.
  • Ensure receiving supplies are filled and maintained, and the backstock area and cooler are kept organized and secure.
  • Break down and organize designated loads, and distribute received merchandise or notify the team of arrival.
  • Establish and maintain the merchandise return/transfer area, and maintain the receiving area in a neat, clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Process incoming special orders, price, and call guests to notify, and use all communication tools, including the department logbook.
  • Document product transfers and waste and spoilage using appropriate forms, and follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and safe work practices.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and proper manner, and know and practice proper lifting techniques.
  • Report all life safety and fire hazards, along with any other violations of company policy, to the Team Leader for correction, and report all accidents and injuries to the Team Leader or Store Leadership immediately.
  • Effectively communicate with Team Members regarding receiving and department operations, and attend all department, store, and training meetings when scheduled.
  • Answer department telephone calls and pages with proper etiquette when time permits, and develop working knowledge of all department vendors.
  • Verify each delivery and note variances on the invoice and to the Team Leader, and follow through with correcting discrepancies using proper procedure.
  • Assist in stocking product, and file all completed paperwork in the designated area.
  • Properly and accurately record time using the time clock at the beginning and end of each shift and for unpaid meal breaks during shift.
  • Responsible for proper dress code, including non-slip shoes and cut-resistant gloves, when necessary, during each work shift.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have working knowledge of IRMA.
