Job Summary:
Daikin Applied is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to support the design and application of power electronics, including VFDs, transformers, power quality filters, and motors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with power electronics and motor design.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and model electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, domestic, and internal purposes.
Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to UL safety certifications and functional specifications.
Direct and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field and internal installations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
10+ years of related experience with VFDs, motors, and power electronics.
Experience with UL 508a and UL 1995 is a plus.
