The primary objective is to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and maintain precise financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the general ledger to ensure adherence to federal regulations, including managing intercompany transactions.
  • Evaluate transactions to guarantee accurate revenue recognition and record provisions in the appropriate accounting periods.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of intercompany transactions.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to facilitate accurate and prompt financial reporting.
  • Manage accounting activities for affiliated entities, including pharmacy and administrative operations.
  • Supervise month-end reconciliations and the closing process for assigned entities.
  • Investigate and document technical accounting matters for consolidated entities and subsidiaries.
  • Act as a liaison for external auditors regarding accounting practices and procedures.
  • Manage insurance-related reserves and collaborate with the risk management team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency through better infrastructure and automation.
  • Establish and uphold internal controls.
  • Collaborate with accounts payable to ensure accurate expense allocation across various accounts.
  • Implement process improvements and serve as the Netsuite manager to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work with the finance team to analyze variances between actual results and budget forecasts.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of extensive experience in healthcare accounting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is advantageous; ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting is essential.
  • Familiarity with health insurance software such as Healthedge/VBA is a plus.
  • Experience as an ERP System Administrator is required; Netsuite experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.
  • Experience with a Big Four or large regional firm is highly desirable.
  • CPA certification or progress towards obtaining a CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting is essential.
  • Ability to build cross-functional teams and excellent managerial skills are required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial.
  • Willingness to learn and expand skill sets is important.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
