We are seeking a skilled Culinary Lead to join our team at Grande Denali Bluffs, a renowned hospitality establishment in Alaska. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of food production and exceptional guest experiences.

About the Role:

This is a seasonal, hourly position that requires a minimum of 2 years of kitchen management experience. A culinary degree is preferred, but not mandatory. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of proper food handling and health standards, as well as the ability to operate standard equipment.

As a Culinary Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in all aspects of running a professional kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and service. You will also be expected to oversee a team of kitchen associates, ensuring they are well-trained and knowledgeable about their specific job requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, inventory management, and food production.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Train and mentor kitchen associates to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and restaurant managers to create and maintain a smooth flow of service.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of kitchen management experience.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and health standards (Alaska Food Worker Card or Serv Safe).
  • Ability to operate standard equipment.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and opportunities for career growth and development.
