Charge Nurse RN

We are seeking a highly skilled Charge Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team at Ascension St. Vincent's East in Birmingham, AL. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating unit staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas.
Responsibilities- Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
- Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
- Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
- Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
