Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse II to join our team at Alameda Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and other essential activities.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring effective communication with healthcare teams.
  • Assist and consult with physicians in the performance of procedures and diagnostic tests.
  • Supervise and mentor staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered care goals.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • Minimum six months of experience as a Registered Nurse I with AHS or equivalent experience in a comparable setting.
  • ED or CCU experience: six months full-time experience. OR or PACU experience: one year full-time experience.
  • Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association for nurses in the Emergency Department, OR, PACU, SSU, CCU, or Telemetry.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention training for Emergency Department nurses.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association for nurses in the Emergency Department.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Critical Care Registered (CCRN) certification.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification for Emergency Department nurses.
