Project Landscape Architect

Farnsworth Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Landscape Architect to join our team in either our Tinley Park, Lisle, or Chicago, IL office. As a key member of our landscape architecture team, you will be responsible for executing the design concept of a project through construction documents, ensuring the clarity, completeness, accuracy, and overall quality of our project documents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development, and planning projects
- Prepare site work cost estimates and zoning analyses
- Determine the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected data
- Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, proposals, and technical specifications
- Plan, schedule, and develop task and project budgets
- Prepare progress reports and draft change orders
- Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines; minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
- Professional Landscape Architect (PLA)
- 8+ years of related professional experience
- LEED AP or similar sustainable accreditation preferred
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Capability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision required
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit all levels of personnel and management
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
