Job Overview

B.L. Harbert International, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimating Professional to join our International Estimating Department in Birmingham, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for commercial, light industrial, and U.S. Government construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze RFP documents and perform detailed quantity take-offs
  • Price various work packages and analyze vendor and subcontract proposals
  • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely estimates

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Building Construction, or similar curriculum
  • 5+ years of experience in estimating for commercial, light industrial, and U.S. Government construction projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the conversion of estimates into detailed project budgets
  • Prior pre-construction or field experience on international projects for private or U.S. Government clients

Work Environment:

The selected candidate will be required to work in an office environment and have flexibility with hours to accommodate business needs.
