Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Seafood Procurement Specialist to join our team at Carrie Rikon & Associates, LLC. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for procuring high-quality seafood products while ensuring timely delivery and optimal costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Order products to meet forecasted demand, obtain best possible product costs, quality, and service, and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Strive to obtain inventory and turn goals, while maintaining service level and minimizing distress, and interface with various departments and division personnel to accomplish job functions.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors, review acquisition costs, and assess current inventory, market conditions, availability, and promotional impact to forecast order quantities and make recommendations to the merchandising team.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Review and analyze daily and weekly reports to monitor costs, quality, service level, inventory turns, and distress, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Store Support: Visit stores, as needed, to monitor programs, obtain store feedback, and assess overall implementation effectiveness, and resolve store billing questions by researching discrepancies submitted at store level with Store Billing and entering credits where appropriate or providing resolution.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 plus years of Purchasing or Vendor Management experience.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and analytical skills, ability to take initiative and make fact-based decisions, and strong computer aptitude in MS Office including Word and Excel.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
