Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, skin care, and dressing.
- Promptly communicate any changes in patient condition to the supervising Registered Nurse (RN).
- Document patient complaints and observations accurately.
- Maintain compliance with agency policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients by paying attention to detail.
- Report any unsafe conditions observed in the home.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and practice safe lifting techniques.
- Foster clear and positive communication with patients, families, and team members.
- Exhibit a caring demeanor, prioritizing the needs of patients.
- Keep patients and families informed about visit schedules and any changes.
- Participate in required training programs to ensure compliance.
- Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Essential Requirements
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or possess a current Home Health Aide registration in the state of Indiana.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance in the state of Indiana are necessary.
- Ability to provide personal transportation to various assignments.
- Capability to work independently while also supporting a collaborative team environment.
