Job Summary

Advocates is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual School-Based Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will provide trauma-informed outpatient counseling to children and adolescents in the school and home setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evidence-based treatment, both individually and family-based, in collaboration with the school system.
  • Collaborate with systems related to the child/adolescent, including schools, pediatricians, and outside providers.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the program and with external agencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records, including written evaluations, treatment plans, quarterly reviews, termination summaries, and progress notes.
  • Attend trainings as assigned and maintain necessary certifications (CPR/First Aid, MAP, HR/DPPC).
  • Participate in supervision and staff meetings.
  • Ensure clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates' Human Rights Policy.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in a related field and one year of experience working within an outpatient setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Ability to work with children and families in the community.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation abilities.
  • Intuitive, client-centered, supportive approach.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support.
  • Valid driver's license and access to an operational and insured vehicle.
