Production Operator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team at General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems. As a Production Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
- Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
- Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Operate, test, and monitor assigned equipment according to established guidelines.
- Observe and conduct operation of equipment and document maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function.
- Verify equipment data for reporting.
- Support and assist with the installation of operating equipment.
- High School Diploma/GED
- 0-3 years' experience
- OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Vocational/Technical Training Degree
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to gather and document information
- Mechanical and Safety knowledge
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods at a time.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
