Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team at Tecta & Schwickerts. As a key member of our sales and project management team, you will be responsible for providing accurate estimates and proposals for commercial roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for duties assigned.
- Estimate job costs and submit proposals for review, including creating shop drawings and obtaining product data sheets.
- Understand all processes of job acquisition to fulfillment, including reviewing and approving invoices and contracts.
- Handle all estimating duties, including bids, pricing, and change orders, and maintain a bid calendar.
- Visit jobs, attend pre-bid meetings, and secure pricing from suppliers.
- Maintain bid results and statistics, and review notice to proceed contracts for scope and price accuracy.
- Set up jobs, track labor and material costs, and provide comprehensive support to sales and project teams.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, college preferred but not required.
- Prior sales or estimating experience.
- Quality focus, problem-solving ability, and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet programs, and strong documentation and communication skills.
- Able to adapt to estimating software packages, such as The Edge.
