Position Overview
The Clinical Nursing Coordinator exhibits profound expertise and proficiency in the realm of Neurosurgery and Spine surgical cases. This role requires the anticipation of both the surgeon's and patient's needs throughout each surgical procedure.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the etiology and intricate details of Neurosurgery and Spine procedures, including the relevant instrumentation.
- Remains updated on the latest techniques and serves as a mentor to nursing staff.
- Facilitates staff education and training initiatives.
- Actively participates in surgical cases, providing assistance to the surgeon while mentoring new personnel.
- Ensures all surgical equipment is available and functioning properly.
- Manages inventory and equipment logistics, organizing daily surgical cases efficiently.
- Responsible for ordering necessary supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels for surgical procedures.
- Collaborates with management to coordinate surgical cases and nursing staff.
- Works in conjunction with Sterile Processing, Materials Management, and Vendors to prepare for upcoming surgical cases.

Qualifications
Education and Licensure
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the Operating Room, with a focus on general, Neurosurgery, and Spine surgery preferred.
