Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Construction Management Representative to join our Facilities-CM team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing one or more construction projects, including building demolition, site restoration, building rehabilitation, and new construction, utility work, paving, and waterfront construction.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage project schedule from inception to close out, lead project job-site meetings, and review contractor work in place to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Contractor Management: Review and approve contractor monthly requisitions and invoices, and efficiently manage change orders and cost control.
- Communication: Maintain excellent relationships with clients, facility occupants, architects/engineers, and contractors, and report on project issues and provide status updates.
- Leadership: Provide effective leadership for managing schedule, cost, and quality, and take charge of managing contractors to meet project schedule.
- Experience: Minimum five years of experience acting as a Construction Manager, Construction Management Representative, Owner's Representative, or Construction Superintendent.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective leadership, knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, and strong computer skills, experience with MS Windows Office, Primavera P6, etc.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architectural, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience on federal government construction projects, familiarity with federal policies and procedures, and experience working with federal Government Project Managers/CORs on project costs and budgets.
- Skills: Experience using cloud-based project management software, such as Procore, Sharepoint, etc., and knowledge and experience working with federal Government Project Managers/CORs on project costs and budgets.
Work is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Office to field time is approximately 25% to 75% respectively. Field work requires climbing, walking, and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required. Travel required.
