Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinic-based ABA services to clients and their families
  • Oversee the implementation of treatment protocols to ensure quality
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, including parent questionnaires
  • Design and document individualized behavior acquisition programs
  • Perform descriptive and functional analyses as part of assessments
  • Create behavior intervention plans for reducing challenging behaviors
  • Develop and update treatment plans in line with best practices and insurance requirements
  • Implement and supervise data collection methods
  • Provide behavioral support in a multidisciplinary treatment environment
  • Assess and report on client progress towards treatment goals and manage transition and discharge plans
  • Conduct individual and group training sessions for parents/caregivers
  • Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings
  • Maintain BCBA certification through ongoing education in required BACB categories
  • Ensure state licensure is obtained and maintained
  • Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or a related field
    • Board certification as a BCBA in good standing
    • Current BCBA licensure in Texas is required
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift or transport up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of moving quickly during sessions (e.g., in response to patient elopement)
  • Ability to manage behaviors swiftly (e.g., blocking aggression, moving furniture)
  • Comfortable sitting on the floor as needed for patient interaction
  • Ability to transition quickly from seated to standing positions to address aggressive behaviors
  • Capability to bend or twist for physical management as necessary
  • Ability to maintain physical holds for aggressive patients for extended periods when required
