We are seeking an exceptional candidate for a tenure-track position as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. The successful candidate will join the Transdisciplinary Research Initiative in Inflammaging and Brain Aging (TRIBA) and contribute to the development of innovative research programs in aging-related disciplines.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain a successful research program with a focus on aging-related research, with the expectation of obtaining extramural funding from government agencies, private foundations, and industry.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring at the Medical College of Georgia and/or the Graduate School.
- Mentor graduate students and contribute to the growth of the research community.
- Board Eligible - Board Certified and a MD, PhD, or equivalent degree commensurate with role.
- A minimum of five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
- Eligibility for tenure upon appointment, with a national reputation in the field.
- Doctoral degree in biomedical related disciplines from an accredited college or university.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated human research experience, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and extramural funding.
