About the Role

M/I Homes, a leading homebuilder with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a skilled New Home Sales Consultant to join our team. As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for demonstrating our product features, designs, and benefits to potential homebuyers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize sales and marketing techniques, company guidelines, and knowledge of assigned communities to achieve division and company goals.
  • Effectively manage sales generation by utilizing corporate marketing materials, model homes, local resources, and realtor relationships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for homebuyers from initial meeting through home closing.
  • Tour and demonstrate model homes, generating excitement by effectively identifying needs of potential homebuyers and matching related solutions.
  • Build confidence with potential homebuyers by selling features and benefits of M/I Homes product and experience.
  • Prospect and visit realtors, participating in division meetings, and maintaining buyer interest by effectively using listening and negotiating skills.
  • Guarantee a realistic, but satisfactory home building experience for the homebuyer by proactively communicating throughout the home building process.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in specialized training from a two-year college or technical school combined with at least one year of relevant course study, including seminars and workshops in sales and marketing techniques.
  • One to five years of related experience and/or training, with thorough knowledge of the housing market in geographical locations.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and evaluate given information relative to selling techniques and potential homebuyer issues.
  • Self-motivated with persuasive, enthusiastic, and customer-service oriented personality, outstanding negotiation and organizational skills, and detail-oriented aptitude.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for high interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization.
