Job Summary

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care at InnovaCare Health. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates patient care activities and schedules, ensuring seamless delivery of services across multiple locations.
  • Administers clinic and InnovaCare Health policies and procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Performs various clinical tasks, including venipuncture, EKGs, and wound care, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assists with scribing, case management, and other clinical procedures, as needed.
  • Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the medical record, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or errors.
  • Supports infection prevention and control measures, maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of patient care.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull heavy objects, and stand/sit for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel to multiple locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in AED and CPR, with a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a certified medical assistant, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds.
