Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to standard precautions.
  • Clean and prepare beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs for patient transfer, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Present a professional image to patients, families, and visitors, providing clear direction and information as needed.
  • Assist with surgical patient positioning, transfer, cast application, and removal under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Retrieve and deliver items to other departments, responding promptly to assignments and requests.
  • Support nursing staff in maintaining high standards of nursing practice by facilitating a prompt response to patient needs.
  • Restock supplies, clean and defrost refrigerators, clean equipment, and maintain an orderly environment.
  • Ensure patient transfer and transport equipment is functioning properly.
  • Function as a surgical team member, demonstrating competence in performing assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • BLS required.
