This is a research-focused role in the Department of Infectious Diseases, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research related to understanding the bacterial cell envelope
- Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results
- Manage research projects, including writing publications and contributing to grant proposals
- Assist with mentoring students in the laboratory
- PhD in a relevant field
- 8+ years of research experience in the bacterial cell envelope, including experience with next-gen sequencing and engineering strains in Escherichia coli and Acinetobacter baumannii
This is a non-tenure track position with a 12-month contract.
