Smith Chason College is seeking a highly qualified Medical Surgical Nursing Faculty member to join our team. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and evaluate students in the clinical setting, ensuring they meet the course learning outcomes and program learning outcomes.
- Develop and implement curriculum content, including lesson plans and clinical assignments.
- Provide direct supervision to students during clinical experiences, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assess student progress and provide formative and summative feedback.
- Participate in program evaluation and assessment, including student surveys and clinical site evaluations.
- Attend department meetings and participate in institutional service, including task forces and search committees.
- Current California nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, with at least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Master's degree in nursing or related field.
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
- Experience in clinical teaching and evaluation.
