The Residential Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential program at Chrysalis. This includes supervising and instructing Residential Trainers, modeling and assisting in providing direct services to individuals, and coordinating the development and implementation of Person-Centered Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and instruct Residential Trainers in providing direct services to individuals.

  • Ensure individuals' medical, financial, and recreational needs are met.
  • Ensure appropriate staff ratios and training are being fulfilled.
Requirements
  • 21 years of age or older and a high school diploma or GED.
  • Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills, ability to prioritize work, and ability to complete all assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames.
  • Good judgment and ability to handle crisis situations.
  • Good public relations skills in working with a variety of outside professionals and state employees.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate client office needs.
  • Able to understand and manage personnel issues and deal with staff in a positive manner.
  • Ability to drive individuals and adherence to Chrysalis driving policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and/or equivalent education in working with handicapped individuals.
  • Knowledge of Person-Centered Plans and ability to develop and write effective goals.
  • Understanding of State policies.
  • Good judgment and ability to handle crisis situations.
  • Good general writing skills and ability to articulate oneself on a variety of issues.
  • Able to understand and manage personnel issues and deal with staff in a positive manner.
  • Computer skills.
  • Good public relations skills in working with a variety of medical, professional, and state employees.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate individuals' needs.
  • Ability to balance financial statements and maintain financial folders.
