Sterile Processing Technician Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff in the surgery center. As a key member of the Amare Medical Network team, this individual is responsible for performing decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
  • Prepare and package instruments and equipment for use in the operating room
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient operating room experience

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a sterile processing environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
