Position Overview:
As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing comprehensive nursing care for patients across various age groups, from infants to seniors, in accordance with the established nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate patient and family education
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to uphold high standards of nursing practice within the clinical environment.

Not applicable

Licenses/Certifications:
Must possess a valid LPN license in Maine or New Hampshire. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is mandatory. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for critical care units. Additional certifications may be necessary based on departmental guidelines.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with nursing methodologies and operational frameworks
- Understanding of medical documentation standards and regulations regarding health information release
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective interaction with patients, medical professionals, and support staff
- Proficiency in time management, problem-solving, multitasking, prioritization, and coordination of medical care
- Capability to accurately calculate and administer medications and injections, as well as assess outcomes
- Adaptability to fluctuating workloads based on patient volume, with the ability to lead, supervise, and evaluate nursing care tailored to individual patient needs
- Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
