This position is for Coalinga State Hospital, where incumbents work under general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Senior Psychiatric Technician.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a basic level of general fundamental nursing care
- Facilitate the adherence of treatment programs of patients
In order to maintain a position in the Registry, all permanent intermittent employees are required to work:
- Twelve 8-hour shifts per calendar month or the equivalent total hours (96 hours) if shifts are more than or less than 8-hours
- Six of those shifts or the equivalent total hours if the shifts are more than or less than 8-hours must be weekend shifts scheduled between Friday PM shift and Sunday NOC shift, unless otherwise approved by the CSO Administrator

BenefitsPermanent Intermittent Employees:
- Initial Eligibility -- A permanent intermittent employee will be eligible to enroll in health benefits during each calendar year if the employee has been credited with a minimum of 480 paid hours in one of two control periods
- Continuing Eligibility -- To continue health benefits, a permanent intermittent employee must be credited with a minimum of 480 paid hours in a control period or 960 paid hours in two consecutive control periods
