Healthcare Staffing Professionals has immediate needs for Licensed Vocational Nurses to work in a state hospital located in Coalinga, CA.
Work Location: Coalinga, CA
Available shifts: PM 2:45pm-11:15pm or NOC 11pm-7am or AM 7am-3pm
Orientation:
All orientation hours are compensation at the full compensation rate. Orientations will run during the AM shift and will be held Monday – Friday will include a combination of classroom and floor training. This process can take 3-4 weeks. Once orientation has been completed, candidates will be moved to their regular shift schedule.
*If a day of orientation is missed, candidates may be removed from the orientation schedule*
Compensation:
Local Rate: $1600 per week working 40 hours ($40/hr).
Travel Rate: $1600 per week total compensation broken down as follows:
$800 per week working 40 hours at $20/hr. Candidates will also get a weekly travel stipend of $800. Candidates must reside 50 miles from the facility and provide proof of lodging.

Job Duties:
  • Organize, provide, and maintain necessary health care services consistent
  • with policies and procedures.
  • Plan and implement nursing care. This includes administration of medication,
  • therapeutic agents, treatments, disease prevention, physicians’ orders, as well as obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing.
  • Participate as a member of the Inter-disciplinary team in developing multidisciplinary
  • treatment efforts; complete assigned weekly summaries,
  • formulate care plans, assist physicians with rounds; note and institute
  • physician orders.
  • Collect information regarding patient status and report the results to the
  • Primary Care Provider (PCP) or RN in a timely manner.
  • Assist mental health professionals by contributing to the treatment planning
  • process and the formal evaluation of patient progress by monitoring and
  • recording observed patient behavior.
  • Document in the health record the nursing care and treatment provided and
  • the patient response to facilitate the continuity of care and communicate to
  • other health care providers.
  • Ensure that staff utilizes optimum standards of patient care and that staff members observe
Requirements:
  • 1 year experience
  • CA LVN Certification
  • BLS
  • Copy of Resume
  • 2 References
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
